The redesigned Passenger2x Flight UI is now very close to the finish line, and today’s update is all about the final systems that have been added, the new roadmap features now implemented, and what remains before we can release this major overhaul. This has been one of the most ambitious UI updates we’ve ever undertaken, touching almost every part of the in‑flight experience, and we’re excited to say that all core systems are now in place.
With the functionality complete, we’ve moved into the final visuals, updating every cabin graphic to match the new style. There’s still a lot of work ahead on the asset side, but the UI itself is now more or less complete.
All Systems Added, Including Roadmapped Features
Every system planned for the new Flight UI has now been implemented. This includes the two major roadmap items many of you have been waiting for:
Automatic “Prepare Cabin for Landing” Trigger
This feature is now fully functional and works based on user‑defined settings.
In the settings menu, you will be able to choose the altitude at which Passenger2x will automatically secure the cabin. This will take effect when “automatic prepare cabin for landing” is enabled in the flight UI. You won’t need to trigger this everytime as Passenger2x will remember your previous flight choices.
Default Flight UI Position Setting
Another highly requested quality‑of‑life improvement is now complete. You will now be able to choose where the Flight UI bar automatically appears when a flight begins.
Available default positions include:
- Top Left
- Top Center
- Top Right
- Bottom Left
- Bottom Center
- Bottom Right
You can still move the bar freely during flight, but this new setting gives you a consistent starting point every time.
Bad Flying Events
The updated Bad Flying Events system has also been added. When enabled, Passenger2x can now trigger randomised cabin events based on poor flying inputs. These may include:
- Passengers requiring medical attention
- Drunk or disruptive passengers
- Cabin disturbances
This system adds a new layer of realism and unpredictability, rewarding smooth flying and making poor handling feel more consequential.
As always, this feature is optional; you can turn it off depending on your preferred experience.
Cabin Graphics Overhaul Now Underway
With all systems implemented, we’ve now moved on to the final major task of updating every cabin graphic to the new visual style.
This includes:
- Seats
- Galleys
- Lavatories
- Floors
There are a lot of cabin assets in Passenger2x, and each one needs to be updated to match the new UI’s cleaner, more modern look. This is a time‑consuming part of the remaining work, and we want to get it right.
Because of this, we’re not giving a release timescale just yet. The asset conversion process is large, and the manual also needs to be rewritten to reflect all the new UI changes. That is another task that takes time.
We’re Excited to Bring This Update to You
This Flight UI redesign has been a huge undertaking, but the results are already speaking for themselves. The interface is cleaner, faster, more intuitive, and far more consistent. With the final visuals now underway, we’re getting closer to delivering the most polished in‑flight experience Passenger2x has ever had.
We’ll continue sharing progress as we move through the final stages. Thank you for your patience, your feedback, and your enthusiasm. This update is shaping up to be something special.
