Passenger2, the most advanced passenger application ever developed for Flight Simulator, has unveiled a significant new development milestone with its latest Passenger2 boarding and pushback update. This reveal showcases a fully animated boarding experience, complete crew interactions, gate announcements, and safety‑video integration, all working seamlessly alongside the simulator.
This update marks one of the most visually impressive and immersive demonstrations of Passenger2 to date, giving users their first real glimpse of how the application will transform the pre‑flight experience.
A Fully Animated Boarding Experience
The new preview highlights animated passengers and crew moving through the cabin, taking their seats, and performing duties in real time. Each aircraft features an individual seat map, allowing users to watch the boarding process unfold row by row.
Crew members will:
- Welcome passengers
- Manage boarding flow
- Change door modes
- Prepare the cabin for departure
This brings a level of authenticity rarely seen in flight simulation add‑ons, turning what is normally a silent, static moment into a dynamic part of the flight.
Announcements, Boarding Music & Gate Staff Interaction
Passenger2’s audio environment has also taken a major leap forward. The boarding sequence includes:
- Cabin crew announcements
- Airport gate‑staff announcements
- Airline‑style boarding music
- Realistic timing and sequencing
These elements combine to create a believable airport atmosphere, enhancing immersion from the moment the aircraft is parked at the gate.
Pushback With Safety Videos & Flight Monitor Integration
During pushback and taxi, Passenger2 introduces another first for the community: in‑sim safety videos. These videos play directly on the flight monitor UI, which also displays:
- Gate information
- Flight details
- Safety instructions
- Progress indicators
This transforms the pre‑departure phase into a polished, airline‑style experience that mirrors real‑world operations.
A Message From the Development Team
“This is a major step in the development of Passenger2,” said Lead Developer Scott Thompson. “I know many followers have been excited to see Passenger2 work alongside Flight Simulator, and I am so excited to share this update.”
The Passenger2 boarding and pushback preview demonstrates how far the project has come, and how much depth is being built into every stage of the passenger journey.
Compatibility & Release Information
Passenger2 is expected to launch in Q4 2023 and will be compatible with:
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
- Prepar3D
- X‑Plane
- FSX (CD and Steam Editions)
Using FSUIPC, Passenger2 will operate as a standalone PC application, ensuring broad compatibility across platforms.
Looking Ahead – What This Update Means for Development
This Passenger2 boarding and pushback reveal is more than just a visual showcase. It signals that core systems, animation, audio sequencing, UI integration, and simulator synchronisation are now working together in real time. This milestone lays the foundation for upcoming previews, including:
- In‑flight service
- Passenger behaviour
- Cabin lighting and ambience
- Crew workflow
- Turnaround operations
Each new reveal brings Passenger2 closer to delivering the most complete passenger‑simulation experience ever created for Flight Simulator.

Hello,
Question ,
Are there different airlines that you can use, or just American airlines?
We are just using American Airlines for our example as it’s the first soundpack we have built. You can fly any airline in the world. Soundpacks will be created with time. Please note we will not be providing any of the videos or logos as this would be illegal for us to do due to copyright. You will need to source these yourself.
Hello, I have 2 questions.
1) Will these airlines be covered and included?
– Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) [SVA/SV]
– Sri Lankan Airlines (SriLankan Airlines) [ALK/UL]
2) Will Arabic and Sinhala languages be included, for example Arabic first and then English or Sinhala first and then English?

These airlines will not be covered in initial release however, we will continue to develop sound packs after release to cover more and more airlines. Same goes for your second question. Arabic is not planned for initial release but will be included in a future update.
Hello, I have 3 questions.
If I use passenger2 for MSFS, will I be able to see the passengers boarding the physical plane. What I mean by this is will I be able to see the passengers physically walking onto the plane and out of the plane.
My second question is, can I use real airliners, specifically easyJet, Ryanair, and Aegean during flights, or do I have to create my own airline. What I mean by this is will all of the announcements, safety videos, music and more work if I use real airliners such as Ryanair.
My third question is, is landing music such as Ryanair’s included when I land?
Thank you.
No, you will not see physical passengers inside MSFS. Passenger2 is a standalone add-on.
You will need to create an airline or use just fly mode. You can always call your airline Ryanair. Download your own logo and choose it. Our sound packs are custom made. We do not use any real sounds or music due to copyright laws. It is illegal for us to do this. You can however, download your own logos, boarding music and safety demos to use.
