We’ve finally made it! The major Passenger2x update you’ve been waiting months for is now live and ready to download through the Passenger2 Manager. This has been one of the largest development cycles we’ve ever taken on, and we want to thank you for your patience, feedback, and support throughout the journey. It took longer than expected – but once you see what’s inside, you’ll understand why.
This Passenger2x update touches almost every part of Passenger2x, from the UI to performance to scheduling to AI flying. Below is a clear overview of what’s new, what’s changed, and what to expect when you jump in.
A Completely Refreshed UI
The airline management UI has been fully redesigned from the ground up. The flying bar UI remains unchanged for now, but it will receive its own refresh later this year as we continue working through the roadmap.
Key UI Improvements
- A modern, cleaner, more spacious interface
- Adaptive sizing – Passenger2x now scales to 85% of your monitor
- Press F5 at any time to reset the window size
- Updated manual and tutorial (Captain Ruth) to match the new UI
- A simplified, icon based airline bar for faster navigation
- Your airline balance and monthly profit now display in a clean shorthand format
We strongly recommend reviewing the updated manual, especially if you’re jumping straight into the new scheduling system.

File System & Save Conversion
To support larger airlines and improve performance, we’ve introduced a brand new file system that condenses and restructures your data.
What this means for you
- Loading and saving is now significantly faster – even for massive airlines
- Passenger2x will prompt you to convert your save files the first time you launch
- Conversion may take a few minutes depending on airline size
- After conversion, double check your airline to ensure everything transferred correctly
This new system is the backbone of many improvements in this Passenger2x update.
Banking & Loans – Simplified and Faster
Banking has been streamlined to reduce loading times and make financial management easier.
Banking Changes
- Only the current month’s transactions load automatically
- Past months can be downloaded as statements
- AI flying transactions are now combined into one entry per session
- Transactions can be sorted by title, date, or amount
Loan System Changes
- Loan terms have been removed
- Loans are now paid daily until cleared
- You can still pay off loans partially or in full at any time
AI Flying – Completely Overhauled
AI flying has received one of the biggest upgrades in Passenger2x history.
What’s new
- AI flying now runs in the background – no more waiting screens
- AI generates full flight reports, just like human flights
- Reports are saved to C:/Users/YOURNAME/AppData/Roaming/Passenger2x/FlightReports/AI Flights/[COMPANY NAME]
- Smarter decision‑making and deeper simulation
- Individual AI maintenance and flight entries are now consolidated
UI access to AI flight reports will be added in a future Passenger2x update.
Drag & Drop Scheduling – Faster, Smarter, Better
This was originally planned for June, but community demand pushed it forward – and we’re glad it did.
How it works
- Click on the schedule grid to create a flight
- Flight numbers now auto fill
- Drag blocks to move flights
- Resize blocks to adjust duration
- Right click to edit pricing, turnaround, and details
- Copy and paste entire days
- Maintenance can be added with one click
- Turnaround times are now automatically calculated
- Default ticket prices are based on full load profitability, not route miles
This system is dramatically faster and more intuitive than before.
