The next major phase of the Passenger2x evolution is officially underway, and today we’re excited to share the first details of the Flight UI redesign. This is a core part of improving the in‑flight experience for every Passenger2x user. With the new interface now in active development, we want to give you a deeper look at what’s changing, why it matters, and how it fits into the broader 2026 roadmap.
This update focuses on clarity, usability, and visual refinement; three areas where your feedback has been loud and consistent. The goal is simple: A flight UI redesign that is easier to read, easier to use, and more enjoyable to interact with during every stage of your flight.
Flight UI Redesign – A More User‑Friendly Flight Bar
One of the first changes you’ll notice is the flight UI redesign. It’s slightly larger than the current version, but intentionally so. The new size allows for clearer labels, bigger buttons, and more readable information.
The flight bar will now default to the centre-top of the screen, giving it a natural, easy‑to‑see position without obstructing the simulator view. As always, you’ll still be able to move it anywhere you like. This flexibility remains a core part of Passenger2x’s design philosophy.
The updated bar also introduces better button labelling, improved iconography, and a more structured layout. This makes it easier to understand what each action does at a glance, reducing the learning curve for new users while giving experienced players a cleaner workflow.

Three New Flight Bar Modes
To support different playstyles, the new Flight UI introduces three distinct size modes, each designed for a specific type of user interaction:
- Microbar
A minimal, ultra‑compact version that shows only the most essential information. This mode is perfect for users who want maximum simulator visibility with minimal UI footprint.- Flight status
- Seatbelt sign
- Key in‑flight indicators
- Minibar
The Minibar includes everything from the Microbar plus the main controls. It strikes a balance between simplicity and functionality, ideal for users who want fast access to core features without opening the full cabin view.- Action icons
- Quick‑access controls
- Cabin View
The most detailed mode, combining Microbar and Minibar, with the cabin view. This mode is designed for players who enjoy monitoring passenger behaviour, cabin layout, and in‑flight events in real time.- All flight information
- All action icons
- A live cabin view
Switching between these modes will be seamless, allowing you to adapt the UI to your needs at any moment during the flight.
A Complete Seat Map Makeover
The seat map is one of the most iconic parts of Passenger2x, and it’s getting a visual overhaul. This includes:
- New seat designs with clearer shapes and improved readability
- Updated galley visuals that better reflect aircraft interiors
- Redesigned bathrooms with sharper graphics
These updates not only enhance the visual quality of the cabin but also improve usability. Seats, galleys, and lavatories will be easier to identify at a glance, making it simpler to manage passenger flow, cabin events, and service timing.
This redesign also lays the groundwork for future cabin‑related features planned later in the roadmap.

Automatic Cabin Preparation & Bad Flying Events
Following the roadmap, the new Flight UI will introduce two highly requested features:
Automatic “Prepare Cabin for Landing” Trigger
Passenger2x will detect when the aircraft is approaching the landing phase and automatically trigger the cabin preparation sequence. This ensures:
- Passengers are seated
- Cabin crew complete their checks
- The cabin is secured for landing
It’s a small change with a big impact on realism and workflow.
Bad Flying Event Detection
The updated UI will also support new bad flying events that respond directly to how you fly:
- Passengers become sick due to bad flying
- Passengers can be injured
These events will integrate directly into the new UI, making them easier to understand and respond to.
Designed for the Future of Passenger2x
This Flight UI redesign is more than a visual refresh; it’s a foundational upgrade that prepares Passenger2x for future features, expansions, and long‑term improvements. With clearer layouts, better controls, and a more flexible interface, the in‑flight experience will feel smoother, more intuitive, and more modern than ever.
We’ll continue sharing progress as development moves forward. Thank you for your feedback, your upvotes, and your continued support as we build the next generation of Passenger2x together.
